Listening. Learning. Leading.
You will always know where I stand— and I will always want to know what you think.
For over 30 years, I have greeted Stratford children at the classroom door. I've celebrated their successes, helped them through challenges, and watched many return years later as parents and colleagues themselves. Those experiences have given me a unique understanding of our community—its strengths, its struggles, and its tremendous potential.
Ready to Serve Stratford
I moved to Stratford 32 years ago when I married my husband Brian, who is a lifelong resident. Here, we have raised our three sons, Cameron, Drew and Evan. For the past 31 years, I have been proud to serve the Stratford community as an educator. Every day, I have worked alongside students, families, colleagues, and community partners to solve problems, build relationships, and help others succeed. Before becoming a teacher, I earned degrees in English and Communications—a foundation that has shaped the way I approach leadership. Effective communication begins with listening. It means bringing people together, encouraging respectful dialogue, and finding common ground, even when opinions differ. Throughout my career, I have effectively combined these skills to support children, families, and colleagues with empathy, honesty, and practical problem-solving. I believe these same qualities are essential for effective leadership. As your councillor, I will listen first, communicate openly, and make thoughtful decisions that reflect the needs of our entire community. Residents deserve a council that is accessible, transparent, and willing to work together to find solutions. Stratford has given so much to me over the years. I would be honoured to give back by serving our community on City Council.
